I've owned Pumpkin since December 21st, 2002 when she was given to me. But, as I see it now, it's more about a friendship, rather than about an ownership. You can own a thing but you cannnot really own Pumpkin with her very own mind. That's why she can enjoy so much freedom of what she wants, and that's the way I will always feel about her, and admire her enormous desire for life despite all the pain she has been through in her life.
Pumpkin found her new home at New Paradigm Ranch, LLC, in Gardnerville, Nevada. It is a wonderful place with nice people where every God's creature must be happy. They take a good care of all animals (horses, donkey, goats, dogs and cats). Thank you, Jeannette, that you do not discriminate like other ranches, refusing to take a donkey. I am talking about my experience in this matter. Your ranch will always be for me a very special place on Earth. I do not have to tell you why... I would like to thank Carmen and Bruce for taking an excellent care of the ranch, as well.
I think Pumpkin must be very happy here, having a new shelter (called "Ten row") that you can see on the panorama picture below. She lives in the first stall on the left side from your view. Her first real shelter ever! Her old one used to be a place under a tree where she was standing the whole night in both good and bad weather. What a pity that my dream of having for her my own place, so we can be together all the time, never came true...
Pumpkin's last location can be found on News page.
